Albuquerque –
Just after midnight, officers from the Albuquerque Police Department and emergency crews from Albuquerque Fire Rescue responded to a vehicle-versus-pedestrian hit-and-run crash in the 3000 block of 12th St NW, near the intersection of 12th Street NW and La Poblana Road NW.

Upon their arrival, officers found a male lying on the side of the roadway who was beyond medical help. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators from APD determined that a blue Ford truck struck the male pedestrian while traveling north on 12th Street, then fled the scene. Detectives collected evidence indicating the suspect vehicle is a blue Ford truck with significant damage to the front passenger side, including a missing portion of the front bumper and passenger headlamp.
APD’s Fatal Crash Team continues to investigate this fatal hit-and-run crash.
Authorities say they will release more details when they become available.
