At approximately 4:00 PM on November 23rd, Albuquerque Fire Rescue responded to a two-story residence for a potential house fire. Rescue 21, en route from a previous call, observed smoke in the vicinity consistent with a possible house fire.
Rescue 21 confirmed a house fire at 4433 Condesa Ct NW and requested a full first alarm to be dispatched. Rescue 21 promptly provided an initial radio report to the responding units. According to AFR, firefighters from Rescue 21 then entered the residence to evacuate two adults and their pets. The fire was extinguished within 15 minutes. Fire crews subsequently transitioned to searching for the extent of the fire in the second-story fireplace and confirmed its complete extinguishment.
Two adults have been displaced and will be temporarily staying with friends. The home is currently uninhabitable and will be secured by Code Enforcement. The cause and origin of the fire are under investigation.
No injuries were reported among residents, firefighters, or pets. Further information is not currently available.

What in the hell is going on! That’s a half million dollar house. It seems like everyday there is a house going up in smoke lately in this town.
