Second Murder Suspect Surrenders for March 4 Shooting, Also Accused of Shooting Dog in the Face

A second murder suspect, implicated in the shooting death of Jacob Rivera on March 4, 2024, reportedly turned himself in to the Albuquerque Police Department.

Isaiah Siddell, aged 30, was apprehended on Wednesday based on his outstanding warrant for a charge of murder along with other allegations.

Last week, APD detectives also apprehended Gabriel Valenzuela-Greene Jr., in connection to Rivera’s murder, as well as another homicide on March 13.

Investigators filed charges against Siddell and Valenzuela-Greene, Jr., for the shooting of both Rivera and another individual in the vicinity of 112 Indiana St., S.E., close to the intersection of Central Ave. and Louisiana Blvd. According to the criminal complaint, an activation from ShotSpotter indicated the discharge of ten rounds in the area. Two individuals were injured and transported to the hospital. Rivera sustained nine gunshot wounds and died from his injuries. A woman sustained a gunshot wound to her leg, she received medical treatment, and was released from the hospital. She later informed the detectives that she and Rivera were smoking Fentanyl in an alleyway when they were both shot. Another witness informed the detectives that there had been a purported disagreement over the price of Fentanyl prior to the shooting.

According to a witness, Siddell recognized Rivera as the individual who had shot him in the leg on January 31, 2024, at a Pizza Hut. Subsequently, a man known by the alias “Memphis,” later identified as Valenzuela-Greene Jr., retrieved a .380 caliber handgun and shot Rivera multiple times. The witness stated that Valenzuela-Greene Jr., and Siddell convened later at the Adam Food Market situated at 7817 Pennsylvania N.W. Allegedly, Valenzuela-Greene Jr., declared, “I am a real shooter. To set an example, you must lead by example.”

The APD detectives acquired video surveillance and phone records placing Valenzuela-Greene Jr., at the scene of the shooting and at the Adam Food Market subsequent to the incident. Additionally, ballistic evidence linked the firearm used in the shooting to the January 31 incident, and to another occurrence at the Adam Food Market, during which Siddell fired a gun at a dog’s face.

  1. Oh yeah. Definitely kill this feral ghetto ape, too. Rivera was undoubtedly a piece of shit whose death represents a net win for civilization, but the dog’s life actually had value.
