Around 6:20 PM, officers from the Albuquerque Police Department responded to the area of Central and Indiana after receiving multiple calls about individuals shot in the area.

When officers arrived near the 110 block of Indiana St SE, they found at least two gunshot wound victims. One person was allegedly shot in the lower leg, and another individual was reportedly shot multiple times. The victim, who was shot multiple times, was purportedly listed in critical condition.

Update 2:

We have learned that the man who was shot multiple times has died from his injuries. When officers arrived on the scene to find both victims, they believed the male victim had been shot approximately 5-6 times.

The second shooting victim is stable with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

APD’s homicide detectives have been called to investigate.
