Suspect Dead After Shootout with APD in NW ABQ

Albuquerque –

The Albuquerque Police Department responded to a call in the Northwest Area Command. A suspect barricaded himself in a house near Calle Nortena and Taylor Ranch RD NW.

During the situation, the suspect fired at officers and they returned fire. The exchange resulted in the suspect being declared dead at the scene. It is unclear if the man killed himself or was killed by officers firing back at him.

Officers are all ok and the Multi Agency Task Force is headed to the scene.
