APD Starts Homicide Investigation in War Zone

Albuquerque –

APD Homicide detectives are starting an investigation into the death of a man in the area of Central Ave. and Pennsylvania St.

Officers responded this morning at 6:15 a.m. to reports of a man who was injured and bleeding heavily. First-responders attempted life-saving measures, but the man died as a result of his injuries.

While on scene we saw a crime scene investigator photographing a pile of clothes, property, and a blood pool of the victim.

The investigation is active and the area will be closed down to traffic. Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area throughout the morning.
