Albuquerque, NM –
At approximately 5:37 PM, emergency services received reports of a fire in the vicinity of 4825 Jefferson St NE, which is believed to be Chavez Concrete Pumping Yard.
Based on the information that we know, Engine 19 from Albuquerque Fire Rescue arrived at the scene and categorized it as a medium-sized, active structure fire. According to scanner reports, there are flammable containers at this business, and AFR is actively working to ensure that they are safely moved from the burning structure or protected from the flames.
AFR has asked the Albuquerque Police Department to close the road, we are unsure if they are closing Jefferson or McLeod. Drivers are advised to avoid the area at this time.
This is a developing story.
