The Bernalillo County District Attorney’s Office is committed to the pursuit of justice.  The week of July 7, 2025 there are three jury trials taking place in Bernalillo County.  Two of the suspects are being tried together for the same case.

Robert Reyes

Case Number: D-202-CR-2024-03365

  • Shooting at or from a Motor Vehicle (No Great Bodily Harm)(Firearm Enhancement)
  • Criminal Damage to Property (Over $1,000)(Firearm Enhancement)

Judge Courtney B. Weaks will preside over the jury trial in the case State of New Mexico v. Robert Reyes (Case No. D-202-CR-2024-03365) in Courtroom 416, beginning on July 10, 2025, at 8:45 AM, and resuming on July 11, 2025, at 9:00 AM.


Adam Benton

Case Number: D-202-CR-2024-02017

  • Aggravated Battery (Great Bodily Harm)
  • Resisting, Evading or Obstructing an Officer (Arrest)

The jury trial for the case State of New Mexico v. Adam James Benton (Case No. D-202-CR-2024-02017), presided over by Judge Joseph A. Montano, is scheduled to begin on July 7, 2025, at 8:30 AM in Courtroom 406 at the Albuquerque courthouse, and will continue on July 8, 2025, at 8:30 AM.


Aden Micah Rhodes Heyman

Case Number: D-202-CR-2023-02257

  • Felony Sexual Offense

Judge Britt M. Baca will preside over the jury trial in the case State of New Mexico v. Aden Micah Rhodes Heyman (Case No. D-202-CR-2023-02257), which will begin on July 7, 2025, at 8:45 AM in Courtroom 416, and continue on July 8, 2025, at 8:45 AM.

Aden Heyman, 48, was acquitted by a jury on July 8th. He was found not guilty on all counts.


Anthony Thomas Martin

Case Number: D-202-CR-2023-02259 

  • Felony Sexual Offense         

The jury trial for the case State of New Mexico v. Anthony Thomas Martin (Case No. D-202-CR-2023-02259), presided over by Judge Britt M. Baca, is scheduled to begin on July 7, 2025, at 8:45 AM in Courtroom 416 at the Albuquerque courthouse, and will continue on July 8, 2025, at 8:45 AM.

On July 8th, a jury acquitted Anthony Martin, 46. He was found not guilty on all counts.


Courts presume that the defendant is innocent unless and until the prosecution secures a conviction through due process.
