Albuquerque –
Yesterday 33-year-old Colton Haynes of Albuquerque and 26-year-old Sarah Couture of Edgewood decided to travel to Belen, New Mexico to find the perfect getaway car.
On December 15th, 2025, the Albuquerque Police Department were notified by the Belen Police Department about a stolen Jeep Gladiator. An Albuquerque Police Department officer on routine patrol observed the vehicle traveling in the War Zone on Central Ave near Louisiana.
According to the criminal complaint, an officer tried to pull the Jeep over but it fled from the attempted traffic stop by getting into the dedicated bus lane. The pursuing officer successfully deployed a GPS tracker device onto the Jeep as it fled. The Jeep then drove throughout the War Zone at a high rate of speed.
The driver at one point reached 100MPH while trying to evade the police. The fleeing felon eventually out drove his GTA gaming abilities and crashed into an innocent vehicle. The two occupants of the Jeep and their loyal dogs fled the Jeep Gladiator together. The disrespectful humans were found hiding under some semi truck trailers by some motor officers and they were quickly taken into custody by arresting officers.
Haynes told officers he bought the Jeep for $28,000 and the payment plan would be a fascinating $345.00 until he paid it off some day. We did some basic arithmetic and discovered that would equal close to a seven year loan with zero interest. In truth, the Jeep was being listed by Auge’s Sales and Service for $37,995. The dealership said they never made such a ridiculous offer to the thieves and the couple was supposed to be an a simple test drive. The Jeep is now worth considerably less after its destruction.

Haynes faked having seizures while being arrested and then pivoted to having other pains to get a trip to the hospital for “incarceritis” instead of going straight to jail. While our camera was fixated on him, the symptoms got worse and he could be seen complaining about his whole body hurting.
The innocent person involved in the crash was walking around and he was checked out by AFR. It is unclear if they were taken to the hospital.
Couture the woman thief in this story was read her Miranda Right’s and declined to speak with officers.
One dog that originally fled the scene returned and seemed to want to give all the details of the felony adventure to anyone who would listen or give him a treat but no one could speak dog.
Haynes was charged with unlawful taking of a motor vehicle, aggravated fleeing law enforcement, leaving the scene of an accident, resisting, evading or obstructing officer, and driving while license was revoked/suspended (a DWI related charge).
Couture was charged with leaving scene of an accident and resisting, evading, or obstructing an officer.
