My sister is looking for her son, he was shoot in the war zone area yesterday. His name is eziel Brown
APD hasn’t provided any updates about this shooting or the condition of the victim that was dropped off at UNMH. In addition, they don’t release the victim’s name until they’ve contacted the next of kin. If your sister still can’t find her son, we recommend that she first reach out to APD. After that, she can try calling UNMH. Due to HIPAA rules, hospitals will only speak with immediate family members, like your sister – they probably will not speak to you. If she doesn’t get any help from APD or UNMH, she could try contacting the Office of the Medical Investigator (OMI) in case her son didn’t survive his injuries. If your sister still runs into problems with all three (APD, UNMH, and OMI), she could consider reaching out to her local city councilor.
It appears that a James Garcia, 34 years old, died from a gunshot wound 9/20/24 after being dropped off at UNMH. Could be tis individual.
