Just before 8:15 PM on March 26, officers from the Albuquerque Police Department and crews from Albuquerque Fire Rescue were sent to the 9500 block of Coors Blvd NW for a vehicle that struck a pedestrian.

Upon arrival, they located a person who was hit by a vehicle. Medical crews transported the pedestrian to a local area hospital as a scoop and run.

Sworn APD Public Information Officer, Detective Chase Jewell, said the victim is in critical condition, and APD’s Motor Unit will be called out to conduct an investigation.

At the time of the crash, APD officers and Police Service Aides had Coors blocked off near Irving, which is near the crash site for the accident investigation.
