Officers from the Albuquerque Police Department are searching for a suspect in two shootings, including a deadly shooting this afternoon in Downtown.
The suspect is Juan Maestas, 36. APD states Maestas is likely homeless. Police say he was last observed wearing the same Ecko Unlimited shirt, blue jeans, and gray shoes. He was last seen on foot near Broadway and Marquette.
APD advised the public that Maestas is considered ARMED and DANGEROUS. If you have information about his whereabouts, please call 505-242-COPS.
Detectives identified Maestas as the suspect in a shooting on Sept. 2, 2026, at the Maverick Gas Station located at 3601 Montgomery Blvd NE.
Homicide Detectives have identified Maestas as the perpetrator of a homicide that occurred near 2nd and Marquette this afternoon.
