AFR Responds to Tennessee Street Blaze; Eight Displaced

Albuquerque –

On July 27, 2024, at approximately 9:12 AM, Albuquerque Fire Rescue was dispatched to 412 Tennessee St. NE in response to reports of a possible structure fire.

Engine 5 arrived first on the scene and found a one-story multifamily dwelling with an active fire. AFR brought the fire under control within 11 minutes of their arrival. The structure sustained heavy fire, smoke, and water damage. The search of the dwelling revealed that it was unoccupied.

AFR told the media that this incident will displace eight individuals.

No firefighters sustained injuries, and the cause of the fire remains undetermined.
