Albuquerque –

A few minutes after 6:25 PM, a 911 caller reported that someone had been shot near the 1000 block of Valencia Dr SE. This is close to the intersection with Anderson Ave SE. Albuquerque Police Department officers responded to the scene, along with emergency personnel from Albuquerque Fire and Rescue and also Albuquerque Ambulance Services.

When they arrived, responders purportedly found a person with a gunshot wound to the lower body. Albuquerque Ambulance 34 transported the individual to a local hospital. Their current condition is unknown.

We’ll provide updates as more information becomes available about the shooting or the individual’s condition.

We put jillions of guns out there, all over the place, then we raise our kids by putting them in front of a TV showing movies of people shooting each other to solve their problems, and give them video games where people shoot each other to solve problems, then when those kids shoot each other to solve their problems, we blame the kids whom we taught, during their formative years, to shoot each other to solve their problems. You are right, it’s not the guns. It’s US.

  2. This was a self inflicted gunshot wound. This guy was known for playing with his loaded gun and discharging it nightly. If you have bad trigger discpline you will have accidents like this. He was left lying in his own blood because no one would help him based on his past behavior. If there were no gun here he would have accidently hurt himself or other with a knife, crowbar or baseball bat. I came here to see if he bled out or they got to him quick enough to save him. darn the world lost on that one.
